Oil to Butter is designed to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains the limited information that may still reach us when you visit or get in touch.

Information we collect
You can use the converter and read every page without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, location, date of birth, payment details or dietary data.
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to submit. We use that information only to read and reply to your enquiry. The form is processed by Web3Forms, which acts as the form-delivery provider.
Technical data
Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure may process routine server logs containing an IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp and basic diagnostic information. This data is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse and investigate technical failures. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Cookies and local storage
The core site does not require advertising cookies, account cookies or tracking cookies. The converter may use browser storage for small interface preferences, such as a selected unit, so the tool feels consistent between visits. That data stays in your browser and can be removed through your browser settings.
If analytics or advertising services are added later, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before non-essential storage is used.
How long we keep information
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer the enquiry, maintain a reasonable record of corrections and meet any legal obligations. Routine server logs are retained according to the hosting provider's security and operations schedule.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help host the site or deliver contact messages. Those providers may operate in countries outside your own and apply their own lawful transfer safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.
Children
This site is a general cooking reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
